Loading Shovel Operator Ruthin Area | £14.02 per hour rising to £15.08 after 12 weeks | Weekly Pay | 4 on 4 off Shifts | Immediate Starts Available

Meridian Business Support is recruiting for a Loading Shovel Operator on behalf of our manufacturing client based in the Ruthin area. This is a temporary ongoing position with genuine temp-to-perm opportunities, offering excellent earning potential, structured training and long-term career prospects.

As a Loading Shovel Operator, you will support a busy manufacturing operation, ensuring materials are moved safely and production processes run efficiently while maintaining high quality and housekeeping standards.

As a Loading Shovel Operator, your responsibilities will include:

• Operating loading shovel and telehandler equipment safely across the manufacturing site
• Loading infeed hoppers and ensuring a continuous flow of materials
• Sorting and blending products to production specifications
• Monitoring quality standards and accurately recording production data
• Carrying out daily equipment inspections, cleaning and basic maintenance
• Reporting faults, defects and safety concerns promptly
• Supporting waste management processes and maintaining excellent housekeeping standards

To be successful as a Loading Shovel Operator, you will have:

• A minimum of 12 months' experience operating mobile plant machinery
• A valid Loading Shovel, Telehandler, Rough Terrain or equivalent licence
• Good numeracy skills and the ability to complete paperwork accurately
• A full UK driving licence
• A strong commitment to health, safety and quality standards

Applicants with experience as a Plant Operator, Mobile Plant Operator, Production Operative, Process Operative, Manufacturing Operative or Telehandler Operator are encouraged to apply.

Hours & Pay 4 on 4 off rotating shifts

• Days: 6:00am to 6:00pm
• Nights: 6:00pm to 6:00am

Pay Rates

• £14.02 per hour
• Overtime after 40.25 hours paid at £21.03 per hour
• Sunday shifts paid at £28.04 per hour
• £15.08 per hour after 12 weeks
