Primary Teaching Assistant

Primary Teaching Assistant required to support pupils within a dedicated SEND Hub at a primary school in Wolverhampton. Are you a Primary Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new opportunity? This is an excellent opportunity for a Primary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school team and provide tailored support to pupils with SEND.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work within the school's SEND Hub, providing targeted support to pupils with a range of additional needs. The Primary Teaching Assistant will work alongside teachers and SEND staff to deliver interventions, support learning and help pupils develop confidence and independence.

Previous experience as a Primary Teaching Assistant or working with pupils with SEND is highly desirable. The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will be patient, nurturing and confident building positive relationships with children.

Job Role:

• Working as a Primary Teaching Assistant within the school's SEND Hub.
• Providing individual and small-group support to pupils with SEND.
• Supporting pupils to access the primary curriculum.
• Delivering targeted interventions and learning activities.
• Working closely with class teachers and SEND staff.
• Supporting pupils with their individual learning and development targets.
• Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
• Building positive relationships with pupils and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
• Creating a safe, nurturing and supportive learning environment.
