Electrical Engineer

Chester, Cheshire West and Chester Linear Recruitment Ltd Overview: An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a growing critical infrastructure business.The Electrical Engineer will be based from the North West with a 50/50 split between office and site, providing a varied mix of technical engineering and practical project support. Working within a small and growing team and reporting to the Engineering Director, the Electrical Engineer will have the opportunity to play an important role in project delivery while developing their career alongside the continued growth of the business. Key Responsibilities: * Provide engineering support across a range of electrical infrastructure projects. * Support the delivery of LV and HV electrical systems from design through to completion. * Review electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation. * Support electrical installation, testing and commissioning activities. * Carry out site visits, inspections and technical checks. * Provide technical support to project and site teams. * Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and suppliers. * Liaise with clients and external stakeholders to support successful project delivery. * Assist with identifying and resolving technical issues and faults. * Ensure electrical works are delivered safely and in line with relevant standards. * Support project handover, testing records and completion documentation. * Contribute to quality, compliance and continuous improvement across engineering activities. Qualifications & Experience: * Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer or in a similar electrical engineering role. * Background within power, utilities, energy, infrastructure or related sectors. * Experience with LV/HV systems, electrical distribution or power infrastructure. * Knowledge of equipment such as substations, switchgear, transformers and cabling. * Comfortable working across both office and live site environments. * Strong understanding of electrical drawings, specifications and technical standards. * Relevant electrical engineering qualifications or industry training. * HV/LV authorisations, AP/SAP or similar would be advantageous. * ECS/CSCS certification and a full UK driving licence are desirable.
