Physics Teacher (Grammar School)

A well regarded secondary school in North Birmingham have asked us to source a qualified Physics Teacher to start with them in October 2026. This role will initially be for one term, but may extend for the right person.

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have previous experience of teaching Science, ideally with a specialism of Physics up to GCSE level (A level would be advantageous). Planning and marking will also be involved, along with being a vibrant member of this thriving Science department.

This is a very popular school in the Birmingham local authority, where expectations for students and teachers are high. Excellent communication skills and effective behaviour management are mandatory.

Pay and remuneration:

• We look to pay long term supply teaching roles to scale. This means you can expect renumeration between MPS1 and UPS3
• Usual working hours will be between 8:30am – 3:30pm (varies from school to school)
