Payroll Manager

Connect Appointments are seeking an experienced Payroll Manger to join and lead our client’s Falkirk-based payroll department.

What’s on offer?

• Full-time permanent position
• Up to £35,000 per annum (DOE)

Working as a Payroll Manager you will be responsible for the smooth running of payroll operations for multiple SME clients. Combined with:

• Calculating wage increments, overtime payments and public holiday pay
• Cheques or bank transfers for employee payments (depending on the business)
• Analysing and reporting on payroll data
• Auditing the payroll to make sure it satisfies all government regulations
• Developing and refining payroll procedures

To be successful you will ideally have a formal payroll qualification, with previous experience of working in a payroll bureau, preferably using Sage 50 payroll. Other key skills, traits and experience include:

• Previous chartered accountancy experience (preferred, but not essential)
• Knowledge of the end-to-end payroll processing and auto enrolment compliance
• Deal with all incoming payroll queries and responding efficiently
• Establishing excellent working relationships with clients
• The ability to work accurately and to tight deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication
