Production Operative

Pertemps Daventry are currently recruiting for a Production Operative on behalf of our established client, based in Daventry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business in a permanent role, offering full training and long-term career prospects.

Location: Daventry
Salary: £12.90 per hour
Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm and Friday 8:30am to 4:00pm. 

Working as part of a busy production team, you will be responsible for the manufacture and assembly of abrasive products, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality and accuracy. The successful candidate will receive training across a variety of production processes and machinery. 

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacturing coated abrasive belts
  
  
• Cutting materials to length
  
  
• Joint preparation, assembly and pressing
  
  
• Slitting materials to required widths
  
  
• Packing finished products
  
  
• Carrying out quality control inspections
  
  
• Operating production machinery safely and efficiently
  
  
• Supporting additional production duties as required
  
  
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area. 
  
  

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience operating machinery
  
  
• Experience working within a manufacturing or factory environment
  
  
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
  
  
• Strong attention to detail
  
  
• Understanding of quality control procedures
  
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  
  
• Flexible, reliable and willing to learn
  
  
• Able to work under pressure when required.
