Senior Project Manager Construction Consultancy

A well-established construction consultancy in London is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager with strong NEC contract experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager who is confident delivering complex construction projects and wants to join a respected consultancy with a strong pipeline of work. The successful Senior Project Manager will take a leading role across projects while working closely with clients, consultants and contractors from inception through to completion.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects through the full delivery lifecycle, with particular emphasis on schemes procured under NEC contracts. They are looking for a Senior Project Manager who can hit the ground running, confidently manage contractual processes and provide clear, practical advice to clients. This would suit a Senior Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership of challenging projects and is looking for continued progression within consultancy Project Management.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Senior Project Manager’s role

The Senior Project Manager will lead the successful delivery of projects across London and the wider region, taking responsibility for programme, risk, procurement, reporting and stakeholder management.

A key part of the role will involve working under NEC forms of contract, including managing early warnings, compensation events, programme changes and contractual communications. You will chair meetings, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, monitor project performance and ensure clients are kept fully informed throughout delivery.

The Senior Project Manager

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Strong Project Management experience within a UK construction consultancy
• Demonstrable experience working with NEC contracts
• Good knowledge of NEC processes, including early warnings and compensation events
• Proven experience managing projects independently
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
• Experience coordinating consultants and contractors
• Excellent understanding of programme, risk and project reporting
• A relevant construction, property or Project Management degree
• Ideally MAPM, MRICS, MCIOB or another recognised professional qualification
