A specialist SEND school in Walton-on-Thames is looking for a dedicated and experienced SEND Teacher to join their team, supporting pupils aged 11–19 with a range of complex additional needs and disabilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about special educational needs, personalised learning and supporting young people to develop both academically and personally.
About the Role

Teach and support pupils aged 11–19 within a specialist SEND setting
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons suited to individual needs
Support pupils with complex needs, disabilities and additional learning needs
Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of abilities and communication needs
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
Support pupils’ social, emotional and personal development alongside their education
Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and the wider SEND team
Maintain a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment

What We’re Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
Previous experience working within SEND or specialist education
Experience supporting pupils with complex needs and disabilities
A patient, calm and adaptable approach
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
Ability to differentiate learning and respond to individual pupil needs
A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs

Previous experience as a SEND Teacher, SEN Teacher, Special Needs Teacher or within a specialist school would be highly beneficial.
