Mayo, Ireland Zest Business Group Optical Assistant / Receptionist - Castlebar and Ballinrobe, County Mayo €30,000 to €36,000 DOE | Full Time | Tuesday to Saturday Zest Optical are currently working alongside a high-end independent opticians in County Mayo to recruit an Optical Assistant / Receptionist. This is a varied position working across practices in Castlebar and Ballinrobe. The practice is happy to provide training for the right person, with attitude, reliability and excellent customer service skills being just as important as previous optical experience. Optical Assistant / Receptionist - Role Working across practices in Castlebar and Ballinrobe Providing a friendly and professional service to patients Helping patients choose suitable frames and lenses Carrying out frame and lens dispensing Supporting with pre-testing and clinics Managing appointments and patient enquiries Reception duties and taking payments Making adjustments and providing general aftercare Supporting the wider team with the daily running of the practice Working within a busy, patient-focused independent environmentOptical Assistant / Receptionist - Requirements Previous optical experience - at least 6 months Confident, professional and approachable Reliable and well organised Strong communication skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working across Castlebar and Ballinrobe - Working at one location may also be possible for the right candidate Saturdays are an essential part of the working patternOptical Assistant / Receptionist - Working Hours Full-time position preferred Tuesday to Saturday Sunday and Monday off Some flexibility may be available around the working pattern Part-time applicants will be considered if they already have optical experience, but Saturday availability is essentialOptical Assistant / Receptionist - Benefits Salary between €30,000 and €36,000 depending on experience Supportive independent practice environment Ongoing training and development Staff discounts Performance-related bonusesIf you are an experienced Optical Assistant looking to join a high-quality independent practice in County Mayo, apply now by submitting your CV or contact us directly for a confidential discussion about the role
