About the Role

As an Apprentice Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role within our academy, providing dedicated support to help our pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Working under the professional guidance of the SENCo and classroom teachers, you will be an essential part of a team dedicated to delivering high-quality, inclusive education.

This role is a structured pathway designed to give you practical, hands-on experience while you actively work towards your Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification. We are fully committed to your continuous professional development and will ensure you have the guidance and protected training time you need to succeed.

Your daily work will be deeply rewarding and directly impact our students through:

• Targeted Pupil Support: You will provide 1:1 mentoring, offer support for distressed pupils, and implement targeted programs tailored to individual needs (such as daily exercise routines or specific SEN strategies).

• Classroom Assistance: You will help pupils access learning using appropriate resources, carefully monitor their progress, and assist in maintaining a positive, focused learning environment through consistent behaviour management.

• Curriculum Delivery: You will provide specific support in literacy and numeracy, utilising a range of teaching approaches to ensure all students can confidently access the curriculum.

• Community and Ethos: You will establish constructive relationships with parents and carers, while fully committing to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

We are looking for someone who brings sensitivity, empathy, and a positive attitude to the classroom. If you have strong numeracy and literacy skills (including GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above), and a true collaborative spirit, we want to hear from you.
