Teacher

Bracken Lane Primary Academy are looking for a Teacher to join our talented and supportive team. We would very much recommend and welcome you for a visit so you can meet us and understand our community.

Please note that this advert is for 2 days per week (Thursday and Friday) however there is an opportunity for the successful candidate to increase these hours up to full time by combining this role with a Teacher position at Tuxford Primary Academy in Year 4, please see their advert and include in your application if this is something you would be interested in.

We are a primary academy for children aged 3-11 years based in Retford with over 240 children. Bracken Lane Primary Academy was last inspected by Ofsted in June 2026, and achieved the ‘strong standard’ across all inspection areas

In this inspection Ofsted noted that children are ‘proud to belong’ in a welcoming environment, highlighting that they are ‘polite, respectful and considerate of others’ and demonstrate ‘positive attitudes to learning’.

The report praises pupils’ academic success, noting that ‘pupils achieve above-average outcomes’ and are ‘well prepared’ for the next stage of their education.

Our academy has a caring and supportive staff team who believe in every child. The future for all children and families who attend Bracken Lane Primary Academy is bright, and we know that when we work together, we can ensure our children achieve their very best.
