SEN Teacher- ASAP Start

We are seeking an exceptionally resilient, experienced, and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team in the Wirral on an immediate basis.

In this role, you will be working with young people who present with complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviours. We need a strong practitioner who can hold firm boundaries and navigate challenging situations with confidence, while maintaining a deeply empathetic, trauma-informed approach.

This is a hands-on role-we need a proactive practitioner who actively connects with young people, builds trust, and works seamlessly alongside our existing team.

• Deliver engaging, adapted learning tailored to individual EHCP outcomes and SEMH needs.
• De-escalate challenging behaviours using positive management strategies and proactive intervention.
• Apply trauma-informed principles to foster a safe, secure, and regulated environment.
• Work collaboratively with support staff and leadership to maintain consistent routines and expectations.
• Actively build rapport with young people who may have experienced significant relational trauma or educational disruption.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS) or equivalent, with proven SEN/SEMH experience.
• Trauma-Informed Practice Training (or equivalent de-escalation/crisis intervention training).
• Strong Behaviour Management: Proven ability to manage high-level behavioural challenges calmly, assertively, and consistently.
• Relational Approach: A genuine ability to connect with hard-to-reach young people and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Resilience & Adaptability: A calm demeanour under pressure and the confidence to step in and make an immediate impact.
