A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen within Barnsley Children and Family Social Care Service! We are seeking a forward-thinking, motivated, and dedicated Advanced Practitioner to join our Practice Development Hub.

Offering £37.00 per hour, this role is perfect for an experienced senior practitioner looking to shape quality practice, mentor the next generation of social workers, and support frontline teams in delivering the very best outcomes for children and young people across Barnsley.

• ASYE Support & Supervision: Provide expert supervision, support, and professional guidance to Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs) undergoing their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).

• Complex Case Consultation: Support frontline practitioners with complex casework, high-level decision-making, and risk management to promote positive outcomes for children.

• Practice Model & Training Delivery: Develop and deliver training aligned with the Barnsley Stronger Together practice model to drive continuous professional development across Children's Social Care.

• Quality Assurance Integration: Work closely with the Quality Assurance Team to translate audit findings and learning directly into training and practice development.

• Mentoring & Leadership: Offer high-quality mentoring, coaching, and reflective support to colleagues across various teams.

• Qualifications & SWE: Recognised Social Work qualification with active Social Work England (SWE) registration.

• Post-Qualifying Experience: Significant post-qualifying experience in statutory Children's Social Care, including proven experience in staff supervision, coaching, and mentoring.

• Practice Educator (Desirable): A Practice Educator qualification (PEPS Stage 1 or 2) is highly desirable.

• Practice Passion: Strong working knowledge of learning frameworks, audit processes, and systemic practice models.

• Competitive Rate: Earn £37.00 per hour.
