About the Role 

The Graduate Intelligence Analyst Programme is an opportunity for people looking to start their career in intelligence analysis to develop their problem-solving and analytical skills while gaining practical insight into the intelligence field. At Prevail, the Graduate Intelligence Analyst will apply skills developed through study, professional experience, or personal research to help solve complex client problems through structured training and on-the-job learning. 

The programme includes an initial three-month training phase with structured lessons, rotations through project teams working on live operations and deliverables, and exposure to supporting functions such as Geospatial and Data. This is followed by a three-month probationary period as a Graduate Intelligence Analyst within one of Prevail’s teams, applying training with support from peers, the manager, and a dedicated Mentor Analyst. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Conduct Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) collection and analysis to support live client operations. 

• Contribute to intelligence products and reports that inform client decision-making. 

• Support 24/7 monitoring activity by identifying, assessing, and escalating relevant developments. 

• Collaborate with supporting functions, including Geospatial and Data, to enrich analysis and outputs. 

• Present findings clearly and confidently in written reports and verbally to internal teams and, where relevant, clients. 

• Continuously develop analytical tradecraft by incorporating feedback from the Mentor Analyst, manager, peers, and wider team. 

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience: 

• Recent university graduate, or professional actively seeking a career change into intelligence with proven self-study and research in a related field. 

• Understanding of Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) collection, tools, and analysis. 

• Proactive, curious mindset, with the ability to learn quickly, innovate, contribute fresh ideas, challenge existing processes, and improve workflows. 

• Strong understanding of current affairs, geopolitical trends, and national security issues, with the ability to analyse global events and international relations and assess their relevance to intelligence operations. 

• Able to achieve SC security clearance, including meeting UK residency and vetting requirements. 

• Available to start full-time work on 11 January 2027 and able to commute to and work on-site daily in a Central London office. 

• Willing to join the team’s weekend duty rota after completing probation (time off in lieu for weekend hours worked). 

• Strong IT literacy, including the Microsoft Office Suite. 

• Able to handle sensitive information with discretion, professionalism, and respect for confidentiality.

Desirable Skills and Experience: 

• Foreign language skills, particularly French, Russian, Arabic, or Farsi. 

• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI for presenting intelligence findings. 

• Experience analysing large datasets and identifying trends 

• Familiarity in tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python

Application Process 

1. Application: Apply with your CV and a cover letter, along with your answers to the accompanying application questions. In your cover letter, tell us about the relevant knowledge you've built, whether through formal study or your own learning, and how it supports your ambitions for a career in intelligence. 

2. Initial screen: A 30-minute video call with a member of the team. We'll talk about your background, your motivation and your understanding of the role.

3. Second stage: A 30-minute video call focused on your skills. We'll talk through how you approach problems, looking at your technical know-how, problem-solving and proactivity. 

4. Final stage: A one-hour in-person interview, including a practical assessment. You'll be set a task on the day and given 30 minutes to work out your approach, then talk us through it.
