About the role

Vacancy Number                    5554 Vacancy Title                          BUSINESS MANAGER   Location                                  LONDON (South) & SOUTHERN HOME COUNTIES PLEASE NOTE: The ideal candidate will be based within London South, Surrey, Sussex, Kent or the Southern Home Counties, with strong geographical knowledge of the territory and the ability to travel regularly across the region. A close link to the client’s Kent office would be beneficial, although location is flexible for the right person. Job Description                       Are you ready to take ownership of a defined regional territory for one of the UK’s most respected names in high-security entrance and access control solutions? This is a commercially important Business Manager position with a well-established and widely recognised specialist in high-security entrance solutions. The business delivers technically advanced products and project solutions across some of the UK’s most demanding built environments, including commercial buildings, infrastructure, data centres, government facilities, corporate environments and high-security sites. The role will focus on London South and the Southern Home Counties, with clear responsibility for driving regional sales performance, developing new project opportunities, managing existing relationships and converting pipeline into commercially sound orders.                                                 This is not a passive account management role. My client is looking for someone who can take control of a defined patch, create activity, build relationships, influence stakeholders, manage project opportunities and represent the business credibly across the region. Why This Role Stands Out: • You will represent a specialist, established and highly regarded brand within high-security entrance and access control solutions. • You will take ownership of a defined region with clear accountability for activity, pipeline, conversion and commercial performance. • You will work across technically led, project driven sales opportunities involving multiple stakeholders, from consultants and architects through to contractors, integrators and end users. • You will have the opportunity to develop both new business and long-term account relationships across a region with strong commercial potential. • You will be part of a business that operates in high-profile, sensitive and technically demanding environments where quality, reliability and trust matter. Key Responsibilities: • Take full ownership of the London South and Southern Home Counties territory, developing and delivering a clear regional sales plan. • Identify, develop and convert new project opportunities across the region. • Build, develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, architects, main contractors, system integrators, installers, end users and wider project stakeholders. • Act as the key account manager and primary point of contact for relevant regional clients and opportunities. • Drive sales performance by managing activity, pipeline, conversion, order intake and financial targets. • Promote the company’s full range of high-security entrance and access control solutions, maintaining strong product, technical and commercial understanding. • Influence specifications and guide opportunities from early-stage engagement through to order, handover and delivery. • Lead client meetings, site visits, presentations and regional activity in a professional and credible manner. • Negotiate and close opportunities while maintaining commercial discipline, margin awareness and deliverable outcomes. • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline reporting, forecasting and project tracking. • Work closely with internal teams to coordinate specifications, design, pricing, proposals and delivery requirements. • Ensure structured and effective handover into project delivery teams, maintaining clarity through mobilisation and execution. • Support long-term client relationships, repeat business and the uptake of service or maintenance contracts where relevant. • Represent the company at regional industry events, client meetings and market-facing activity. What we’re looking for: A proven sales professional with experience in specification-led, project-led or consultative B2B sales. Experience within security products, entrance systems, access control, automatic doors, aluminium systems, lifts, escalators, building systems, M&E, construction products or another aligned technical product sector would be highly relevant. A strong understanding of project sales cycles, stakeholder influence, specification, contractor engagement and end user requirements. The ability to build relationships with architects, consultants, contractors, system integrators,...
