Exam Invigilator

Could you help make sure every young person has the best chance to succeed in their exams?

Lift Bexleyheath is looking for an Exam Invigilator to join our team and support students during their examinations. This role helps ensure that every child receives an excellent education, in every classroom, every day. 

This is a casual contract

The role will start in January 2027, with some training taking place during the Autumn Term before the Christmas holidays.

About the role

You will work alongside our Exams Officer to create a calm, fair and supportive exam environment for students. Your role is to follow exam procedures, check that students have what they need, and help them feel confident as they sit their assessments. Can you stay calm under pressure and guide students through what can be a stressful time?

Key responsibilities

• Set up exam rooms and check seating plans are correct
• Verify student identity and check attendance
• Give clear instructions to students about exam procedures
• Supervise students during exams and ensure a quiet, fair environment
• Collect exam papers and materials safely at the end of each session

We are looking for someone who

May have worked with young people before, or managed groups in other settings. What matters most is your ability to communicate clearly, follow procedures carefully, and stay patient when things get busy. Do you enjoy working as part of a team and want to make a real difference to students during important moments in their education?
