Senior Active Directory & IAM Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Active Directory & IAM Engineer to join our Identity & Access Management team on a contract basis. This is a hands-on technical role requiring deep expertise in Active Directory infrastructure, authentication services, directory architecture, and identity operations within a complex hybrid environment.

The successful candidate will possess expert-level Active Directory knowledge and be comfortable supporting, securing, and modernising enterprise identity services. Experience with Microsoft Entra ID is highly desirable. The role will also involve working with Okta, therefore previous Okta experience would be advantageous, although strong Active Directory specialists willing to develop their Okta expertise will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and expertise across Active Directory services and infrastructure.
• Support identity lifecycle management, authentication, directory integrations, and security initiatives.
• Contribute to the administration and optimisation of Microsoft Entra ID and Okta platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex identity and access-related issues across hybrid environments.
• Support IAM projects, migrations, integrations, and service improvements.

Key Requirements

• Expert-level Active Directory engineering and administration experience.
• Strong understanding of identity, authentication, and directory services.
• Experience operating within hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.
• Microsoft Entra ID experience desirable.
• Okta experience beneficial but not essential.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
