Secondary Teaching Assistant | DN3 | Immediate Start

We are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in DN3. The role involves supporting students with their academic learning and pastoral needs, with an immediate start available once all required checks are completed.

What We’re Looking For:
• Experience supporting children or young people, or relevant transferable experience.
• The ability to communicate effectively with students and staff
• Confidence supporting students within the classroom
• The ability to work as part of a wider school team
• Good organisation and reliability
• An understanding of the importance of safeguarding

Experience supporting students with SEND or additional learning needs would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support students with their academic work during lessons
• Provide 1 to 1 and small group support where required
• Help students understand and complete classroom activities
• Support positive behaviour and engagement
• Help students overcome barriers to learning
• Work closely with teachers and other support staff
• Encourage students to develop confidence and independence
