We’re representing a well-established MEP Consultancy seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team delivering projects across the Midlands and South of England. The consultancy has a strong pipeline of work across industrial, residential, student accommodation, and retail sectors, offering exposure to a diverse range of technically challenging schemes.

Our client is an innovative and rapidly expanding M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) Design Consultancy located in Nottingham, who focus on providing high-quality, energy-efficient engineering solutions.



Their expertise spans a diverse range of sectors, including industrial, retail, historic and listed buildings, as well as high-end residential projects - from single-occupancy homes to multi-unit apartment developments.





Responsibilities



As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Lead the electrical design and delivery of building services projects from RIBA Stage 4 through to completion
Prepare and review detailed electrical designs, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation
Coordinate with mechanical engineers, architects, contractors, and other design consultants
Attend client meetings and act as a key point of contact throughout project delivery
Manage project workloads to ensure delivery against programme and budget requirements
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and design team members
Review design information to ensure compliance with current regulations, standards, and project requirements
Support project delivery through construction and commissioning phases where required
Maintain effective communication with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders




Person



To be successful in this Senior Electrical Design Engineer role, you will need:

Senior Electrical Design Engineer experience within an MEP consultancy.
Strong electrical building services design knowledge.
Proven delivery of projects from Stage 4 through to completion.
Confident managing client relationships and attending project meetings.
Ability to work independently and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Ideally Chartered, Incorporated or working towards accreditation.
Own software and hardware preferred.
