Role
As a Project Manager in Northampton, you'll be responsible for leading construction projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage project programmes, and ensure delivery is on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Working across both office and site locations, you’ll play a key role in driving project performance, managing stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities as a Project Manager will include:
Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of construction projects from inception to completion
Develop and manage project programmes, ensuring key milestones are achieved
Oversee project budgets, working closely with the commercial team to manage costs effectively
Manage contracts under JCT and NEC frameworks
Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and external consultants
Monitor project performance, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
Ensure projects are delivered in line with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards
Manage client relationships, providing regular updates on progress and performance
Chair project meetings and ensure clear communication across all stakeholders
Oversee project reporting, including progress, risk, and financial updates
Ensure successful project handover and close-out, including documentation and lessons learned
Person
To succeed in this Project Manager job, you’ll bring strong experience managing construction projects and the ability to lead teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Essential:
Degree in Construction Management, Building, Engineering, or equivalent qualification
At least 3–6 years’ experience in a Project Manager or similar role within construction
Proven experience delivering projects valued between £5 million and £20 million
Ability to pass SC Clearance
Strong knowledge of construction processes and project lifecycle management
Experience working with JCT and NEC contracts
Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive project performance
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Desirable:
Professional membership (APM, CIOB, RICS or similar) or working towards
Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and project management software
Experience across healthcare, education, or commercial construction sectors
