Teaching Assistant

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is passionate about nurturing pupils, to join our hardworking, supportive and friendly team.

For this post, the successful candidate(s) will be required to work full-time (although part-time is an option if the entire role can be covered this way) between 8.30am to 3:30pm - Monday to Friday.

This role requires working within a mainstream classroom setting, as well as with pupils who require 1:1 or small group support. It will involve working with a variety of pupils with varying needs, across the school. The ability to adapt to the ever changing needs of the school is essential. A 1 hour daily lunch duty (MSA), which is paid at HB payscale, is also a requirement.

In addition we also require the successful applicant(s) to work from 3:30pm - 5:30pm at our After School Club, Monday to Thursday. This is currently paid at the hourly rate of £12.71 per hour.

Experience of working in mainstream, Primary Classrooms is desirable. The experience of supporting children with Special Educational Needs, as well as knowledge and experience of strategies used to support SEMH and behaviour, is also desirable. All applicants should have a Maths and English GCSE Grade C (or above) or the equivalent.

This is a fixed term position until the end of the academic year, however there is a possibility for the contract to be reviewed and renewed.
