Hours of work: 7.5 hours on Monday / 7.5 hours on Wednesdays and alternate weekends for 4 hours Saturday and 4 hours Sunday.

Days/Times: To be discussed at Interview

A 37-year-old lady living in Bridlington who has severe dyspraxia, learning disabilities, autism, vasovagal faints, type 2 diabetes, anxiety, and some speech and visual impairment is seeking a reliable personal assistant to support her.

The role is for 7.5 hours on Mondays and Wednesdays and 4 hours per alternate Saturdays and 4 hours per alternate Sundays.

Duties involve assisting and enabling with personal hygiene needs, shopping, cooking/meal preparation, cleaning, and daytime activities.

The candidate should have effective communication skills, good record keeping skills, be organised, patient and understanding.

The candidate must be able to use their own initiative whilst also ensuring that an environment for maximising independence is maintained.

Care experience preferred, but not essential as training can be given.

Training to be undertaken as part of the job role.

Permanent position subject to probationary period and satisfactory references and DBS.

A genuine occupational requirement for a female worker exists for this post under the Equality Act 2010 due to privacy and decency.

DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post – Cost to be met by the local authority.
