Midday Supervisor

Brough Primary School is seeking a reliable, engaging and committed individual to join our midday team to supervise the children across the busy lunchtime period. The successful candidate must be able to use their own initiative, be willing to work as part of a team and have the ability to organise games. Support and training will be available.

About the Role

Successful candidates will:

• Supervise pupils during the lunch period in the dining hall, playground areas and school premises, ensuring the safety, welfare, physical and mental well-being of pupils and the maintenance of good order and discipline.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children, providing emotional support where necessary.
• Arrange and supervise appropriate play and physical activities under the direction of the Senior Supervisor.
• Ensure that all pupils who suffer any injury or accident are dealt with appropriately in accordance with the school’s agreed accident reporting procedures.
• Encourage all pupils to eat, and to assist children with cutting up food, etc where appropriate to e.g. age of child, need of child, as necessary.

• Have experience working with children (school-based experience desirable but not essential).
