Woldhaven Care Home is a warm, welcoming care home for older people in Pocklington. We are proud to have been rated "Good" by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) this year, reflecting our commitment to providing high-quality care and support for our residents.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly catering team. This is a rewarding role where you will help provide nutritious meals and excellent service to our residents every day.

24 hours per on a rota over 4 x weeks to include some weekend working

Main Duties

• Assist with the preparation and serving of meals and beverages.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
• Support the Cook and wider kitchen team as required.
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety, and infection control procedures.
• Help ensure residents' dietary needs and preferences are met.

What We're Looking For

• A positive, reliable, and hardworking approach.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
• A genuine interest in supporting older people and enhancing their dining experience.

Hours and Working Pattern

• Shifts worked between 7:00am and 6:00pm, with 6:00pm being the latest finish.
• Working on a 4-week rolling rota.
• The rota includes 2 weekends out of every 4 weeks.
• Bank Holiday working is required as part of the rota.

Pay and Benefits
