Caring, careful, and committed? Make our learning environment sparkle!

At Baysgarth School, we are proud of our welcoming and supportive school community. We are committed to providing a clean, safe and well-maintained environment for our students, staff and visitors, ensuring the highest standards are maintained throughout the school site every day.

We are a true comprehensive school built on strong family values, where everyone is seen, recognised and valued. This has helped us become one of the most successful and oversubscribed schools in the region.

To continue fulfilling our ambitions for our students and wider school community, we need outstanding staff who are dedicated, reliable, hardworking and take pride in their work. We firmly believe we have a committed and supportive staff team, and we are excited to welcome a new Evening Cleaner to join our site team.

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate pride, positivity and attention to detail, alongside a commitment to ensuring the school maintains the highest possible standards and reputation within the local community and beyond.

We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic, motivated and reliable. The role will include the following duties and responsibilities, along with some ad hoc tasks:

  • Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets and communal areas to a high standard;
  • Carpet and upholstery cleaning in student, staff and public areas;
  • Removal of stains, marks, graffiti and scuffs around the school site;
  • Cleaning specialised toilet areas in student, staff and public spaces;
  • Duties to meet the requirements of the regular cleaning programmes, including moving furniture and fittings where required;
  • Safe operation of domestic and industrial cleaning materials and equipment;
  • Following and applying Health & Safety and COSHH regulations at all times;
  • Supporting the wider site team in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming school environment.

Riverview is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The successful applicant will be required to apply for enhanced disclosure from the DBS.

If you are inspired by the challenge and responsibility of this opportunity, we would like to hear from you. If you would like to discuss any aspect of the post, please feel free to contact our Business Manager, Kitty Curtis, via [email removed]

As an employer, we promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect the same commitment from existing and prospective employees or volunteers.
