Outreach Practitioner

The Outreach Team is an integral part of Dacorum Education Support Centre, a Pupil Referral Unit operating across two sites in Hemel Hempstead. Our Outreach Team work in partnership with 67 mainstream schools across Dacorum, to support learners experiencing social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

We deliver early intervention support across primary and secondary schools, helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning, improve engagement, and achieve positive outcomes. Our work focuses on preventing suspensions and permanent exclusions, enabling learners to remain successful within their mainstream school settings.

As an Outreach Practitioner, you will manage your own caseload and work directly within schools, building strong relationships with learners, families and school staff. You will have the autonomy to assess needs, deliver targeted interventions and contribute to meaningful change for children who need support at a critical point in their education.
