Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated, resilient, and empathetic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to fill a vital role within our inclusion team. In this position, you will act as a crucial bridge between academic support and pastoral care, working directly with our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator and Designated Safeguarding Lead to transform outcomes for our most vulnerable and at-risk pupils.

We need a Higher Level Teaching Assistant who can:

• Work closely with the SENDCo to implement tailored learning interventions, provision maps, and individual education plans for children with diverse learning and social-emotional needs

• Act as a key point of contact for the DSL, monitoring student well-being, keeping highly accurate records, and helping to maintain a robust, proactive safeguarding culture

• Deliver structured interventions, both 1:1 and small group work, that build self-esteem, emotional resilience, and positive social skills, helping children manage emotional triggers and thrive in the classroom

• Support behaviour positively, promoting self-control and independence using restorative approaches and trauma informed practice

• Actively promote strong attendance by working with children and parents to break down and remove barriers early

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience working with children, exceptional communication and behaviour management skills, and a firm commitment to inclusion, equality, and safeguarding.
