About the role
Derbyshire Dales District Council is delighted to be recruiting an Administration Assistant to join our Community & Environmental Services team.
Based at our Northwood Depot in Darley Dale, this is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, positive, and motivated individual to become part of a busy, customer-focused service. We are looking for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality administrative support and enjoys working as part of a dynamic team where no two days are the same.
The successful candidate will provide a wide range of office and administrative support, helping to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the service. Typical duties may include recording vehicle inspection sheets, responding to telephone and email enquiries, ordering uniforms and supplies, and supporting accurate data collection and management.
The role also offers the opportunity to use and develop your analytical and creative skills by presenting and maintaining data in Excel, identifying trends, and suggesting improvements to working practices and processes. You will be a confident communicator with excellent organisational skills and the ability to build positive relationships with both internal colleagues and external partners.
