Practice Accountant

Pertemps Swindon are recruiting for an experienced Practice Accountant to join our accountancy client in Cricklade, SN6.

• Monday to Friday 0900 - 1600

Temporary position to support the Managing Director within a busy bookkeeping and accountancy practice. The successful candidate will assist with the preparation of both management accounts and draft year-end accounts for a variety of clients.

About the experienced Practice Accountant job 

• Preparing management accounts for a portfolio of clients.
• Assisting with the preparation of draft year-end accounts.
• Reviewing bookkeeping records and ensuring accuracy.
• Reconciling bank accounts, control accounts, and ledgers.
• Investigating and resolving accounting discrepancies.
• Supporting the Managing Director with ad hoc accounting tasks 

The right experienced Practice Accountant

• Strong bookkeeping and accounting knowledge.
• Experience preparing management accounts and draft statutory accounts.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
• Strong communication skills
