We are looking for a high performing, well-organised and adaptable MAST Instructor to join our team of professionals working at Here at Defence Medical Command (DMedC) HQ, DMS Whittington.

This is a full time post consisting of 37 hours per week.

Cyber and Specialist Operations Command (CSOC) is going through a significant transformation programme which aims to design the way in which the new Military Command conducts its business and delivers for Defence and the nation. As a consequence of this, posts within CSOC are/or may become subject to review and potential changes as we continuously improve across the period of the transformation programme. These changes may be minor or could be more substantive and will generate new opportunities. Throughout, the Command’s transformation programme is committed to following the MOD’s framework on managing and supporting people through the change process and places an emphasis on early and open consultation and engagement with the Command’s personnel and Trade Unions.

Job description

Delivery of agreed medical training to the defined standards (including those set by external professional bodies) to meet the need of the Defence Medical Services as a whole, to contribute to the physical and moral components of fighting power.

Person specification

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Deliver Defence Medical Information Capability Programme (DMICP) fixed and deployed instruction including future Medical Information Systems (CORTISONE) training in accordance with course documentation, provide mentorship and coaching while monitoring and recording the progress of students under training.
• Prepare for instructional duties by undertaking appropriate personal study, familiarisation with course documentation, production of lesson plans and supporting visual aids.

• Undergo regular assessments in accordance with instructor assessment requirements as stipulated by the Defence Trainer Development Team. Maintain a record of personal development and participate in external and internal continuous professional development programs.

• Undertake learning and development and upskilling as required.
