DIAGNOSTIC TECHNICIAN – BURY – £34,750 BASIC / £43,500 OTE/ 42-HOUR CONTRACT | PERMANENT POSITION

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Diagnostic Technician to join our well-established automotive client based in Bury on a full-time permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced automotive professional to join a busy, fast-paced workshop environment, offering a competitive salary and excellent earning potential.

This would suit applicants who have worked as a Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician or Vehicle Diagnostic Technician.

Rates of Pay:

• £34,750 basic salary
• OTE up to £43,500
• Permanent position

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00am to 5:00pm
• 42-hour contract

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a Diagnostic Technician are:

• Carrying out vehicle diagnostic investigations
• Identifying and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
• Completing maintenance and repair work following diagnosis
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently
• Working within a busy workshop environment
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship
• Working in accordance with company health and safety procedures

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Diagnostic Technician, you will need:

• Previous experience working within a vehicle technician or diagnostic environment
• Strong vehicle fault-finding and diagnostic ability
• Good mechanical and technical knowledge
• Ability to work accurately within a fast-paced workshop
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team
• A professional and reliable approach to work

Training:

• Industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support and development
• Manufacturer and workshop-specific training where applicable
