Lunchtime Support Assistant

Essential Skills & Personal Qualities:

• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with primary school children and staff.

• Child-Centred Approach: Enthusiasm for working with young people, fostering a cheerful, inclusive, and positive environment.

• Teamwork: A supportive team player with a good sense of humour and a positive attitude.

• Flexibility & Calmness: Ability to adapt and respond calmly and effectively to dynamic school environment needs.

• Commitment to Safety & Care: A strong work ethic and dedicated commitment to pupil safety, hygiene, and safeguarding.

• First Aid: Willingness to undertake First Aid training if required.

Experience (Desirable):

• Experience working, volunteering, or engaging with primary school-aged children (e.g., in a school, early years, or community setting).

• Experience assisting with playground games, active play, or lunchtime supervision is beneficial, though a supportive attitude and willingness to learn are most important.
