Job Title: Security Small Works Manager

Salary: £45,000 + Overtime

Are you a Security Engineer based in Yorkshire looking to take your next step into management? As a Security Small Works Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of small works projects and commissioning activities across a range of commercial and industrial sites, acting as the key point of contact between engineering teams and clients. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality security solutions to its customers.

Responsibilities:

* Plan and manage the delivery of small works security projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring work is carried out on time and to specification.
* Oversee and coordinate engineers on site, providing technical guidance and ensuring safe working practices are followed.
* Carry out and support commissioning activities across a range of security systems, including intruder alarm, access control, and CCTV.
* Liaise with clients throughout project delivery, managing expectations and maintaining strong working relationships.
* Ensure all documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and handover packs, is completed accurately and on time.
* Support the transition into a project management role by taking ownership of programmes, budgets, and resource planning on assigned works.

Experience and Certifications required:

* Proven hands-on experience as a Security Systems Engineer, with a background in intruder alarm, access control, CCTV, or a combination of disciplines.
* Demonstrable experience in commissioning security systems to manufacturer and client specifications.
* Experience managing or supervising small works or minor projects, either formally or in a lead engineer capacity.
* Familiarity with completing site documentation such as risk assessments, method statements, and as-fitted drawings.
* Full UK driving licence.
* NSI/BSIA-recognised installer qualifications or FIA membership (desirable).
