The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Consultant Chemical Pathologist to support a service based in the East of England.
This opportunity offers an initial 3-month locum contract, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will play a key role within the Chemical Pathology service, including responsibility for the Lipidology Outpatient Service.
The role is suitable for experienced Chemical Pathologists who are confident managing specialist outpatient services while working collaboratively within an established multidisciplinary team. The post is available on a full-time basis, although part-time applications will also be considered.

What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver expert clinical input within the Chemical Pathology service
- Lead and manage the Lipidology outpatient clinic service
- Provide specialist diagnostic and treatment advice relating to lipid disorders and metabolic conditions
- Work collaboratively with consultants, laboratory teams, clinicians, and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to safe, effective, and patient-focused service delivery
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in line with NHS standards
- Support service development and quality improvement initiatives where appropriate
What We're Looking For
- Active GMC registration with licence to practise
- Consultant-level experience in Chemical Pathology
- Experience in Lipidology services is highly desirable
- Recent UK NHS experience
- Strong clinical judgement, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
