Class Teacher Part-time

There is one position available, which could be based in either:

• Upper Key Stage 2 - 2.5 days per week, or

• Nursery - five mornings per week

We are open to appointing to either area depending on the strengths, experience and preference of the successful candidate. Applicants should make their preferred option clear within their application.

Lordship Farm is a popular, oversubscribed two-form entry primary school with a nursery, situated on the south-eastern edge of Letchworth. We are incredibly proud of our children, our established staff team and the strong relationships we have built with our families and wider community.

We also invest significantly in professional development. Our staff receive regular training and opportunities to develop their practice, share expertise and learn alongside colleagues. We use the CUSP curriculum alongside Little Wandle phonics and work in partnership with other Hertfordshire schools, providing valuable opportunities for networking, collaboration and peer support.

For experienced teachers, we can offer professional development opportunities and support towards future leadership roles. We fully support colleagues wishing to undertake National Professional Qualifications and can provide experienced and supportive mentors.

We would also particularly welcome applications from teachers considering a return to the classroom following a career break or time away from teaching. Returning to teaching can feel like a big step and we can offer a supportive team, strong systems, high-quality CPD and colleagues who will help you find your feet and rebuild confidence at the right pace.

We are looking for someone who has strong subject knowledge and high expectations for children, but just as importantly someone who believes in relationships, enjoys being part of a team and is willing to learn. Creativity, warmth, flexibility and a sense of humour are always welcome too.
