Estimator HVAC

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Job Description:

Our client, based in Bradford, is seeking an experienced Estimating Engineer (HVAC) to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for a commercially minded estimator who can confidently price ventilation, air conditioning, and general HVAC projects—from reading drawings through to cost analysis and handover at order stage.

THE ROLE:

Read and interpret project specifications, schedules, and drawings.
Liaise with the client to finalise design.
To estimate ventilation, air conditioning, and general HVAC projects.
Follow up quotes with customers.
Use component and design/selection software.
Review and hand over the project at order stage to the Project Engineer.
Carry out cost analysis and value engineering to provide a competitive advantage.
Use take-off and estimating software (Ensign).
Use CAD skills (advantageous).
THE CANDIDATE:

Previous experience estimating HVAC systems essential.
Strong product knowledge.
Commercially minded, with the ability to put together best-price quotations with a view to winning work.
Strong client communication skills.
Keen attention to detail.
Conscientious approach to producing drawings and documentation.
Strong scheduling and time management skills.
THE SALARY AND HOURS:

£35,000 – £40,000
Monday – Friday: 07:00 – 16:30
