We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Business Support Officer to enhance our already established friendly and supportive team who will contribute to the key work of the Education and Children's Directorate.

We are currently working a combination of home and office working, therefore, you will be required to have a suitable confidential working space within your home and an appropriate broadband connection.
What we are looking for:
Passion –You'll be passionate about delivering a great service and experience, it's what will motivate you, getting it right first time, asking for support when you need it and building on the skills that you've developed elsewhere.
Knowledge and Experience – Ideally you will have experience of working within an administration setting and have knowledge of using Microsoft packages and databases.
Great Communication – You'll be engaging and providing advice to Managers, teachers, parents and the rest of the team on a daily basis, so being able to clearly communicate the information you need and listen to individual requirements is key.

The Government has confirmed that local government across Lancashire will be reorganised, with the current 15 councils being replaced by four new unitary councils covering North, South, East and West Lancashire from April 2029
If you are successful in your application, you will initially join Lancashire County Council. However, as part of the planned transition, your employment will transfer to one of the new unitary councils from April 2029, subject to the implementation of the reorganisation and relevant employment legislation.
