B&NES Shared Lives Scheme - Full-time Placements

We are looking to register new Shared Lives carer households in B&NES. Shared Lives is a service where the carer uses their own home, household members and daily life to provide support to people who have eligible needs.

A full-time Shared Lives arrangement is a client living with the carer household. The client needs to have their own room. Rates offered for full-time placements are £475 - £825 per week, plus housing contribution and food & bills payments from the client to the carer.

The scheme offers full training, the support of a dedicated coordinator and a detailed matching process with potential clients.

There are significant tax incentives available for Shared Lives households, £20,440 per household per year PLUS £515 per person supported per week (up to a maximum of 3 people) tax-free.

There are several different options for providing support. This role can work around childcare, having another job or as an additional household income.
