As a Graduate System Design Authority (SDA) Support, you will support the development of innovative software solutions for TKMS Atlas UK’s above-water and underwater systems and products.

TKMS Atlas UK have designed their Engineering Graduate Programme to support those with a passion for Engineering to grow into the next generation of specialists to develop cutting-edge maritime technology for worldwide customers and the UK Royal Navy.

As a System Design Authority (SDA) Support Graduate, you will be offered a permanent role from day one and step onto a 2-year Graduate Scheme supporting our Submarine Systems SDA team.

What we are looking for in you:

- On course for degree In a STEM related discipline
- Problem solving skills
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- An interest in, and ability to work across, a broad technical scope is more important than deep specialisation for this role
- Organised and self-motivated must be able to deliver tasks with limited supervision
- The ability to extract key facts from information
- Effective communication skills across multi-discipline projects
- Flexible and adaptive
- Effective time management within a multi-tasking environment
- The ability to work effectively within a growing, changing workplace
- Promote a “can do” attitude
- A desire to learn from others

Knowledge and experience (will be developed in the job role if not held)

- An awareness of engineering development lifecycles
- An awareness of Naval/Maritime systems or other military domains is advantageous but not essential

Key accountabilities

- Provide focussed support to the SDA team in delivering systems
- Support other P&L divisions where work relates to Submarine Systems Division interests
- Support Bids development
- Review and help write technical documents for internal and external use
- Represent the SDA associated with allocated work at meetings (when needed) and record discussion/actions
- Collate information for, and help drive product and technology road maps for an holistic approach to Subs future planning
