31.25 hours per week Term Time plus Inset Days

We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Mentor to join our Pastoral team working Monday – Friday 8:30am – 3:15pm. Learning Mentors are the first point of contact for students in responding to a range of pastoral, academic and general administrative enquiries and are a key contact point for parents and carers.

The successful candidate will plan and deliver targeted interventions, both individually and in small groups, supporting strategies in the classroom and in our Refocus Room. The role also carries a strong administrative element, including maintaining accurate intervention and attendance records and administering our pastoral detention system.

Candidates should have expertise and enthusiasm for supporting young people, alongside strong organisational and administrative skills. Full training will be given to support the successful candidate in delivering interventions effectively. Strong communication skills, patience, empathy and accuracy in record-keeping will all be vital for this role.

• Comfortable with administrative systems and accurate record-keeping
• Able to remain calm and consistent when managing behaviour
• A team player, able to work closely with SEND, Inclusion and Pastoral colleagues
