Senior Financial Analyst

We are partnering with a global leader in healthcare and medical technology in their search for a Senior Financial Analyst. This is a 9-month temporary role based in Witney, offering a hybrid working model (4 days per week in the office, 1 day at home) and a day rate equivalent of up to £65,000 per annum (PAYE).

The Role:

Reporting to the Operations Finance Manager, you will act as a key finance business partner embedded within the manufacturing site. Working closely with factory operations, you will manage site manufacturing cost centres, perform deep dives into production yields and product launches, and ensure accurate financial controls and monthly closes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations Business Partnering: Partner with site operational teams to drive ownership of plans and results, offering financial analysis on overheads, project expenses, and manufacturing management.
• Cost Accounting & Analysis: Perform deep-dive manufacturing costing analysis, monitor yield variances, cost drivers, and obtain a detailed understanding of Costing OMC variances.
• Planning & Re-forecasting: Lead quarterly re-forecasting (LBE) schedules and annual planning processes, creating slide decks and advice on drivers of change for management reviews.
• Month-End Close: Manage assigned balance sheet reconciliations, monthly journal entries, and accurate workday-two close processing.
• Process Improvement & Compliance: Identify cost-saving opportunities in material, labour, and overheads, while supporting internal audit compliance activities and process redesign.

This role could be right for you if you have:

• Qualifications: Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), a close finalist, or Qualified by Experience (QBE) with demonstrable manufacturing background.
• Cost Accounting: Essential hands-on experience in cost accounting and manufacturing cost analysis.
• Business Partnering: Outstanding stakeholder management skills with the confidence to collaborate directly with operational managers on the factory floor.
• Re-forecasting & Reporting: Experience handling quarterly re-forecasting cycles, budgeting, and month-end closes under tight deadlines.
• Soft Skills: High attention to detail, proactive attitude, and an ability to quickly pick up internal systems.
