Family Group Worker

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Family Group Worker to join our Family Help Service. Working across our Family Hub locations, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality activities and support for children aged 0-5 and their families, helping to improve outcomes and ensure every child gets the best possible start in life

About the role

• Plan and deliver engaging activities for children aged 0-5 and their families.

• Provide high-quality crèche provision that supports children's physical, emotional, social and language development.

• Encourage parent and carer participation to promote strong attachment and family relationships.

• Monitor children's development and contribute to recording progress and outcomes.

• Support vulnerable families and signpost them to appropriate services.

• Help maintain safe, welcoming and inclusive Family Hub environments.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to deliver excellent services for local families.

About you

We are looking for someone who has:

• A recognised childcare qualification at NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

• Experience working with children aged 0-5 and their families.

• Experience supporting vulnerable children and families.

• Experience working with children with SEND.

• Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and early years development.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

• The ability to maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team.

• A proactive and flexible approach to supporting children and families
