Teaching Assistant

The Role

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team.

You will work closely with the class teacher to support learning, help pupils engage with their lessons and foster a positive, safe classroom atmosphere. This role suits someone who is patient, proactive and genuinely cares about children's academic and emotional progress.

Your working pattern would be Monday-Friday during term time. (8.30am-3.30pm with a 30 minute lunch break)

Key Responsibilities

• Support the teacher with delivering targeted learning activities for individuals and small groups.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a calm, productive environment.
• Assist with preparing learning materials and setting up equipment.
• Provide extra care and guidance for pupils with diverse learning or SEND needs.
• Monitor pupil progress and communicate effectively with teaching staff.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with working with children in a primary school setting.

• Commitment to the school’s safeguarding and equal opportunities policies. (Note: Appointment is subject to an Enhanced DBS check).
