We’re hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead complex design and build schemes across the industrial, logistics, manufacturing, data centre, and distribution sectors, managing multiple high-value projects simultaneously.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Leicester, offering predominantly office-based work and a few site visits each month, with projects typically valued at £50 million.

Our client is a respected multidisciplinary consultancy with a proven track record delivering major construction projects across the UK.

Known for their collaborative culture and delivery-focused approach, they partner with clients to bring complex developments from concept to completion.

As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to take ownership of multiple industrial and logistics schemes, ensuring excellence in delivery from design through to handover.

ROLE

As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee design and build projects in the industrial, logistics, manufacturing, and data centre sectors, ensuring successful delivery across time, cost, and quality objectives.

You will manage 2-3 large-scale projects at any given time, typically valued at around £50 million, providing full project lifecycle leadership - from feasibility and procurement to delivery and completion.

This is an ideal role for an ambitious Senior Project Manager from a consultancy background who thrives in a dynamic environment and is motivated by delivering best-in-class results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

Leading the planning, design, procurement, and delivery of large-scale industrial and logistics build projects
Managing projects under JCT Design & Build contracts
Defining scope, deliverables, and programme timelines to align with client and business goals
Coordinating with design teams, contractors, and client stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
Overseeing budget management, risk mitigation, and quality assurance throughout project lifecycles
Ensuring project compliance, technical excellence, and commercial integrity
Driving performance and motivating cross-functional teams to deliver results
Representing the consultancy in a professional and diplomatic manner at all stages of delivery
PERSON

To succeed in this Senior Project Manager role, you will bring:

Proven experience in project management of major construction projects, ideally within industrial, logistics, manufacturing, data centre, or distribution sectors
Strong understanding of JCT contracts and design & build delivery
Experience working in a consultancy environment (essential)
Demonstrable experience managing multiple concurrent projects of £50m+ value
Degree-qualified in construction, project management, engineering, or a related discipline
Professional membership or working towards it (e.g. APM, RICS, CIOB)
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
A proactive, driven, and team-oriented approach - with the hunger, ambition, and diplomacy to achieve exceptional results
