This is a pivotal role at the heart of the elections team.  The role is to provide administrative support in the publication of the electoral register and arrangements for Elections and referenda.

The key responsibilities include:

Assist in the preparation and publication and maintenance of the Register of Electors.

Assist and develop processes to encourage and maximise the registration of electors.

Assist in the preparations and administration of all elections and referenda.

Assist in the preparation of all equipment and stationery for use in Polling Stations, Postal Voting and Count Centres for all elections.

Assist in the selection and appointment of temporary staff engaged on election duties

Contribute to the development of office systems and the introduction of new technology.

Deal with appropriate correspondence/telephone calls and communicate effectively with members of the public, Elected Members, other Council Departments and any other agencies.
