The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Consultant Dermatologist to support a healthcare service within the North West.

This opportunity offers an initial 3-month locum contract with an immediate start, providing structured and consistent work within an outpatient dermatology setting. The role is ideal for experienced Consultant Dermatologists who are confident managing a varied caseload including new patient clinics, follow-up clinics, skin cancer pathways, minor operations, MDT participation, and ward referrals.

You will be working alongside established clinical teams, supporting service delivery while maintaining high standards of patient care.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver high-quality dermatology care across outpatient and clinical settings
• Conduct face-to-face follow-up clinics and new patient clinics
• Participate in 2 Week Wait skin cancer pathway clinics
• Undertake minor operations clinics
• Contribute to Skin MDT meetings and multidisciplinary decision-making
• Manage ward referrals and provide specialist dermatology advice when required
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Work collaboratively with consultants, nursing teams, AHPs, and wider multidisciplinary colleagues
• Support the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred care

Monday

• AM: Face-to-Face Follow-Up Clinic (12 patients)
• PM: Administration / Ward Referrals

Tuesday

• AM: New Patient Clinic (12 patients)
• PM: 2 Week Wait Clinic (12 patients)

Wednesday

• AM: New Patient Clinic (12 patients)
• PM: Face-to-Face Follow-Up Clinic (12 patients)

Thursday

• AM: Face-to-Face Follow-Up Clinic (12 patients, reduced to 10 when attending Skin MDT)
• PM: Administration / Ward Referrals

Friday

• AM: Minor Operations Clinic (6 patients)
• PM: New Patient Clinic (12 patients)

What We're Looking For

• Active GMC registration with a licence to practise
• Consultant-level Dermatology experience
• Relevant recent UK NHS experience
• Experience managing general dermatology and skin cancer pathways
• Ability to work independently and as part of an established multidisciplinary team
• Strong clinical judgement, communication, and professionalism
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
