Finance Analyst

W&A is partnering with a Dundee-based organisation to recruit a Finance Analyst. The role will suit someone who enjoys working with finance systems and data, with particular scope to support process improvement and automation activity across the finance function, alongside study support.

Location: Dundee

Salary: £30,000-£35,000

The Opportunity

This position offers the opportunity to build on a solid grounding in transactional finance and month-end support while gaining broader exposure to analysis, systems and continuous improvement. You will work with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and help identify ways to make finance processes more efficient through better use of systems, automation and data.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activity, including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with financial analysis, cost allocations and the preparation of accurate finance information for wider stakeholders.
• Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 as part of day-to-day finance processes and reporting.
• Support process improvement initiatives across the finance function, helping to simplify and strengthen existing workflows.
• Contribute to automation activity, including testing and improving finance-system processes where required.
• Investigate discrepancies, maintain accurate financial records and ensure appropriate controls and audit trails are followed.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across finance and the wider business to resolve queries and improve the flow of financial information.

What You'll Bring

• Hands-on finance experience, with a good understanding of core accounting processes.
• Practical experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365; this is required for the role.
• Confidence working with reconciliations, month-end activity and financial data.
• Strong Excel skills and a comfortable approach to analysing information and identifying discrepancies.
• An interest in finance systems, process improvement and automation.
• A structured, accurate approach with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively with different stakeholders.
