About the role
Alfreton Park School is a lively and successful Special School for pupils aged 2 to 19 years with severe and profound learning difficulties.
We are looking for a friendly, organised and adaptable Receptionist/Administrator to join our established team. Working primarily on our busy reception desk, you will be the first point of contact for pupils, parents and carers, visitors, contractors and external agencies, while providing a wide range of administrative support.
Our school office is extremely busy and varied, so no two days are the same! You will need to remain calm under pressure, manage competing priorities, use your initiative and confidently problem-solve as situations arise.
The successful candidate will have strong administration, communication and IT skills, excellent attention to detail and a professional, welcoming manner. You will be flexible, dependable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment as part of a supportive team.
Experience of working in a busy office or reception environment is desirable. Previous school experience and knowledge of Derbyshire systems, including RM Integris, would be beneficial but are not essential.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming school where you will play an important part in supporting pupils, families and the wider school community.
Hours of work: 9.00am to 1.30pm
