Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an Assembly Operative to join a friendly and professional manufacturing team in Ilminster.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with production or assembly experience who enjoys precision work, thrives in a team environment and has a keen eye for detail.

As an Assembly Operative, you will play a key role in the manufacture and assembly of high-quality optical and mechanical products, ensuring products are assembled to the highest standards of quality, safety and performance.

• £13.33-£15.70 per hour.

• Monday to Friday working pattern.

• 8am-4:30pm working hours.

• 39 hours per week.

• Opportunity to work within a friendly and professional manufacturing team.

• Assemble optical and mechanical components to detailed specifications.

• Set up and operate production equipment in line with manufacturing procedures.

• Inspect optical and metal components to required standards.

• Mix adhesives and carry out optics-to-metal bonding processes.

• Set optical sub-assemblies to the correct orientation.

• Complete production documentation and history records accurately.

• Conduct inspections and support quality control processes.

• Pack finished products ready for dispatch.

• Maintain clean and safe working areas.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

• Support and work collaboratively within a small production team.

• Ensure all Health & Safety and Quality procedures are followed.

• Previous experience within a production, manufacturing or assembly environment.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.

• Good numeracy and literacy skills.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

• Methodical and organised approach to work.

• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

• Reliable, punctual and adaptable.
