SHE Advisor

Lancaster, UK Carrington West Are you a SHE professional with experience working across construction and utilities?   Do you have a strong background in site-based H&S, audits and supporting teams across major water and wastewater projects?    Location: North West England  Salary: £40,000 to £45,000   A large tier 1 contractor is recruiting for a SHE Advisor to support the delivery of large-scale water and wastewater capital projects.   This is a site-based role supporting operational and engineering teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly and in line with client and legislative requirements.   What you'll be doing: - Providing day-to-day SHE support across live water and wastewater projects - Carrying out site inspections, audits and compliance checks - Supporting the implementation of SHE and CDM requirements - Reviewing risk assessments, procedures and project documentation - Delivering inductions, toolbox talks, training and safety awareness initiatives - Providing technical H&S guidance to operational and engineering teams - Supporting incident investigations and root cause analysis - Identifying non-conformances and recommending corrective/preventative actions - Monitoring SHE performance and identifying trends for improvement - Supporting a positive reporting and safety culture across site   Essential: - Experience in a SHE/H&S role within construction and/or utilities - Strong understanding of UK H&S legislation and relevant construction requirements - Experience carrying out site inspections and audits - Experience working with Business Management Systems and client procedures - Strong understanding of risk management and CDM - NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Diploma, relevant degree or equivalent NVQ qualification - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills   Desirable: - Water and/or wastewater experience - Experience working on major capital delivery programmes - Environmental experience alongside H&S - Incident investigation and root cause analysis experience - IOSH membership - Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives   If you're an experienced SHE professional looking for your next opportunity within the water and infrastructure sector, I'd be keen to hear from you.   Please send your CV to (url removed)
